On Saturday, October 28, 2017 members of the Daly City Police Department selected 21 sex registrants who reside within the city to conduct routine compliance checks. The purpose of this operation was to ensure the registrants were in compliance with their annual sex registration requirements. During the operation, which was conducted on the Saturday before Halloween, the department’s Crime Suppression Unit arrested four individuals for being in violation of their registration requirements, including one of the individuals for being a convicted felon in possession of firearms.
