The highest gusts can be expected across the ridge tops, but some of the stronger winds may mix down into the valleys across the northern North Carolina mountains. Meanwhile, relaxing winds and clearing skies are expected to allow temperatures to dip to or below freezing tonight across the mountains of South Carolina and Georgia, and across the North Carolina foothills and western Piedmont. ...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 10 AM EDT MONDAY... The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from 2 AM to 10 AM EDT Monday.
