Police Activity in Glenmoor - Logan Dr. is closed between Central Ave and Faulkner. Please avoid the area.
Today, at approximately 9:20 a.m., Fremont Officers responded to a 911 report of a domestic battery. Officers immediately responded and met with a female victim. The victim reported that her boyfriend, a 41 year old adult male, had battered her and that he was still in the residence. Officers set up a perimeter and have been attempting to contact the suspect since the initial call came in.
The male has access to at least one firearm in the residence. In addition, the male has a violent criminal history and active warrants. The Fremont Police Department's SWAT Team, Tactical Medic Team, Tactical Dispatchers and Hostage Negotiators are on scene. We'd also like to thank Paramedics Plus, Fremont Fire, Newark Police and San Leandro Police for their assistance today.
Logan Drive is closed between Faulkner Dr. and Central Ave. Two adjacent homes have been evacuated and a couple of residences are sheltering in place. We are asking community members to please avoid the area and follow instructions given by officers.
The suspect is described as a 41 year old Hispanic Male, 5'10", 210 lbs and was last seen wearing a Raiders jersey. Anyone with information, is asked to please contact the Fremont Police Department by calling 510-790-6800 x 3.
