Modesto CA – The two Ceres Police Department officers’ involved in the October 22, 2017, officer-involved shooting at Imperial Avenue and Ustick Road in the unincorporated area of Modesto have been identified as Sgt Darren Venn and Officer Ross Bays. Sgt Venn has 17 years of law enforcement experience, and Officer Bays has 15 years of law enforcement experience.
