Farmington DPS investigating report of suspicious person who approached a Farmington High School student this morning. See Nixle details.

The Farmington Public Safety Department is investigating a suspicious circumstance that occurred in the area of Orchard Lake Road and Shiawassee this morning at approximately 7:10 AM. A Farmington High School student reported that while walking on the sidewalk on the east side of Orchard Lake Road approaching the Shiawassee crosswalk, the student was startled by an unknown person who approached her, grabbed her arm and said, “I need your help”. The student immediately ran away from the individual who made no attempt to follow her. The individual was described as an unknown person with a deep voice wearing black pants and a black hoodie. No additional information is available at this time.
Anyone with information that may help us identify the suspicious individual involved in this incident is asked to call the Farmington Public Safety Department at 248-474-4700.
In addition, the Farmington Public Safety Department would like to encourage students to walk to school in groups if at all possible and to walk in well lighted areas.
