Precautions advised following lifting of boil water advisory

The Great Lakes Water Authority has lifted a boil water advisory that was put in effect this week for a number of buildings on east campus. Areas affected by the advisory included:

- Faculty subdivision
- Student cottages on Adams Road
- John Dodge House
- Meadow Brook Greenhouse
- Steve Sharf Clubhouse
- Golf Pavilion
- OU Incubator
- Meadow Brook Hall
- Sunset Terrace
- Meadow Brook Music Festival

Campus community members are advised that although the advisory has been lifted, a number of steps should be taken before discontinuing the precaution of boiling water. Clean water may not be available immediately following the change in advisory status.

Once water has been restored to all affected customers, the testing period to determine the water is safe to consume is approximately two days.
