On March, 8th 2017, in the unincorporated Riverdale, Courtney Cherry and his now wife Cordelia Cherry got into a verbal altercation with Cory Thomas.  Courtney grabbed Cory Thomas from behind and placed him into a choke hold that obstructed Thomas's breathing causing him to die.  This incident was witnessed by Courtney's wife Cordelia and his brother Kindall Cherry who did nothing and failed to call the police.  Police were only called when a witness who was at the incident location asked about Thomas and checked on him to find his lifeless body.  This witness attempted CPR, but it was to late.

Clayton County Police obtained warrants for Courtney, his wife, and brother and they were all taken into custody today by Officer Iwamoto.  All three are now facing the wall at Georgia's toughest para-military jail.
