People’s Park
UCPD Case # 17-02945
 
On Sunday, October 22, 2017 a UCPD officer received a report from the Tang Center of a battery with serious bodily injury which had occurred at approximately 12:00 p.m. the previous day, Saturday, October 21st.  The male victim, unaffiliated, was in People’s Park when he was jumped by three or four males who pushed him to the ground and kicked him several times before running off.  The victim suffered injuries which required medical attention.
 
The victim described the suspects as:

Three to four Black males.

  • Please do not delay in calling 911.  UCPD strongly encourages the reporting of criminal or suspicious activity in a timely manner to assist us in intervening in potential criminal actively and apprehending suspects.
  • If harassed or assaulted, scream and attempt to run for safety.
  • Walk confidently, directly, and at a steady paced.  Don’t stop to talk to strangers.
  • Be alert for subjects loitering in an area with no particular purpose.
  • Watch where you are going and what is going on around you.
