Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose is seeking the public’s help in locating Wanda Navarro, 56, of Newark, who is wanted for an assault that occurred on Friday, September 22, 2017.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., police responded to a South Ward residence on a call of an assault. A woman alleges that she was struck with a broomstick following a quarrel with Navarro, who she knows. Detectives developed sufficient evidence to secure a warrant for Wanda Navarro’s arrest on charges of Assault. While police are actively searching for Navarro, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing her from our streets.
