On December 19 the 79-year old victim had been shopping at Kroger, 2301 College Sta Rd. Around 1610 she loaded groceries in her vehicle and put the cart away. As she walked back to her vehicle a black male grabbed her and attempted to take her purse which was on her arm. She held on to the purse but the suspect was able to take the purse. He ran to a vehicle, believed to be a mid-1980’s Oldsmobile Cutlass, silver with a burgundy landau top, and left. The suspect was described as tall, between 30 and 40 years of age, wearing all black clothing. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the robbery.
