Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide detectives are continuing to assist Irwindale Police Department personnel investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man that occurred on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at 6:56 P.M. in the 1600 block of West Arrow Highway, Irwindale.
Homicide detectives learned Irwindale Police Department officers were dispatched to the location in response to a “Gunshot Victim” call. When they arrived at the location they found a male Hispanic adult suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the body.
The victim was walking westbound on the sidewalk of West Arrow Highway when an unknown person fired shots in his direction striking him.
He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
There is no suspect information nor motive for the shooting at this time.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information.
