#016 Grand Theft
At 12:09 p.m., a victim called 911 to report that a suspect snatched his wife’s cell phone from her hand in the 4900 block of Paseo Padre Pkwy and was las seen fleeing in the Alameda Creek canal leading from Paseo Padre Pkwy out to Fremont Blvd.  The suspect was described as a Black male adult, 20’s, 6’ tall, thin build, wearing a black hoodie, black tennis shoes, jeans and a black baseball cap with white lettering.  Officers were not able to locate the suspect.  Investigated by Officer Burns. 

#036 Stolen Vehicle Recovery
CSO Wei was dispatched to the 40000 block of Fremont Blvd to recover a stolen vehicle.  The apartment management was about to have a vehicle towed off their property when it was learned the car was stolen out of Newark.  The vehicle was released to the rightful owner.  The bvehicle was not damaged, stripped or burned. 

#042 Warrant Arrest, Driving without a License and No Insurance
At 5:44 p.m., Traffic Officer Ramsey was patrolling the area of 6000 Stevenson for auto burglary suppression, when he spotted a silver Infiniti with black paper plates and very dark tinted front windows, a violation of CA VC 26708(a). Once the occupants saw him, they made two quick turns into a parking lot in.  Officer Ramsey conducts a traffic stop in the 40400 block of Albrae Street and upon investigation both male occupants are found to be on probation for burglary. One of the males, a 19 year old Oakland resident had a felony warrant for burglary and resisting arrest.  The male was arrested for his warrants. The other male and driver of the vehicle , a 20 year old Oakland resident, was cited for not having a driver’s license, proof of insurance and for the tinted front windows.  The car was towed since the registration had not been current in over a year.
