The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
October 18th
1112 Hours: Officer Ackerman investigated the theft of a silver 1991 Honda Accord (2VXC048) on the 5800 block of Musick Avenue.
1126 Hours: Officer Hunter investigated the theft of a white 2002 Chevrolet Pickup (CA License #6V14378) from the Home Depot parking lot, 5401 Thornton Avenue.
1135 Hours: Officer Knutson investigated an auto burglary in the Chase Suites parking lot, 39150 Cedar Boulevard. The loss is miscellaneous tools.
1218 Hours: Officer Ackerman contacted and arrested a 43-year-old Fairfield male for his outstanding warrant on Edgewater Drive at Salisbury. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
2202 Hours: Officer Norvell investigated a non-injury traffic collision on Forbes Drive at Ingraham Street.
2357 Hours: Officer Johnson contacted and arrested a 29-year-old Union City male for his outstanding warrant at the Boat House, 5055 Chelsea Drive. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
