Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the below pictured suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017.

At approximately 3:05 a.m., police responded to 7-Eleven, the convenience store located at 1400 McCarter Highway, on a robbery call. Three Hispanic men entered the store at different times. Two of the men (suspects 1 and 2) stole items from the shelves. When confronted by a store attendant, one of the suspects displayed a handgun.

The first suspect is described as a light-skinned, approximately 5’7” tall with a goatee and several tattoos on his neck. This suspect was also wearing a red baseball cap, white coat with red pinstripes with the letter “P” on the back and the word “Quickins” on the right arm. He also was wearing a red t-shirt and sneakers.

The second suspect is also described as light-skinned, approximately 5’10” tall and heavy set, with a goatee. He was wearing an orange t-shirt with “Addidas” on the chest area. He was also wearing a blue baseball cap and blue shorts with orange stripes that included a NY Mets logo near the left knee area.

The third suspect is described as having a medium complexion and as wearing a mullet-style haircut and thin beard. He was wearing a blue t-shirt with the words “Whatever.” written on it, blue jeans and black sneakers.

While police are actively searching for the suspects, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from our streets. This investigation is active and ongoing.
