Canyon Country (West) Public Safety Report for October 2, 2017- October 8, 2017

Here is the public safety report for Canyon Country (West) for October 2, 2017 through October 8, 2017:


Residential Burglary- 26900 block of Trestles Drive 
The victim stated his neighbor saw two suspects loading an air conditioner, water heater, and a bathtub from his house while under construction. 

Grand Theft- 19400 block of Soledad Canyon Road 
Two suspects were seen taking items from a store near the above location. The suspects left the location with approximately $1000.00 worth of property. 


Residential Burglary- 28500 block of Santa Catarina Road 
Person(s) unknown entered the victim’s open garage and stole her purse from her vehicle parked inside. 


Robbery- 18700 block of Soledad Canyon Road 
One suspect was arrested after he was seen by the victim sitting inside his vehicle at a nearby parking lot. The suspect was confronted by the victim where he found out the suspect stole cash from within his vehicle. A small scuffle ensued and the police were called. The suspect was taken into custody. 


Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station Haunted Jailhouse Event 

The 28th Annual Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Haunted Jailhouse & Community Open House event will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The popular event, which has become a yearly tradition, will include jailhouse tours.
