On October 19, 2017, personnel from the Simi Valley Police Department will participate in the "Tip-A-Cop" Event to raise funds for Special Olympics Ventura County. The event will run concurrent to other "Tip-A-Cop" events running throughout Ventura County. All of the tips received by SVPD personnel are donated to Special Olympics to help local athletes participate in the Special Olympic Games
Some of the participants from the Special Olympics will be present as will "Chase" from Paw Patrol and SVPD SWAT Team members.
