Trailhead safety tips
With numerous trailheads throughout the City of Diamond Bar, the Walnut/ Diamond Bar Sheriff Station would like to remind you in case of an emergency please call 9-1-1. If you decide to go hiking on one of the Diamond Bar trailheads, please remember the name or street the trailhead is on. There are signs at the entrances of each trailhead, take a picture which will be useful in case of an emergency to help you remember what location you are at and will help us locate you in a timely manner.
· Remember to tell a family member or friend where you are going and when you plan on returning.
· Don’t choose the wrong path- stay on known marked trail paths to minimize your chance of getting injured or lost.
· Don’t under pack - have the essentials such as plenty of water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a small first aid kit, a trail map and a fully charged cell phone.
