Outside Assist for Fremont Fire
At around 12:30 p.m., Fremont Fire called to report they had a major natural gas leak in the area of Automall and Boyce. A local electric company inadvertently punctured a major gas line. Officers assisted with the evacuation of several businesses in the area. FPD units stayed on scene until the line was repaired to assist with traffic control.
#022 Auto Burglary
CSO Tsai investigated an auto burglary that occurred between 10:15 – 10:30 a.m. at the Mission Hill Tennis Club in the Kimber Hills neighborhood. A male suspect was captured on video surveillance. He was wearing a light grey hoodie and dark pants. He was driving a silver Honda Accord 4-door or similar with unknown plates. Loss was a backpack, wallet, cell phone, cash, credit cards and personal identification.
#027 Auto Burglary
At 3:55 p.m., Officer Taylor responded to a panic alarm at a medical office in the 39100 block of Farwell Drive to investigate an auto burglary. The reporting party pushed the alarm after being told there were suspects burglarizing a vehicle. Two unknown suspects cut a large metal change and were able to open a locked mounted tool box in the bed of a truck. Loss reported was electric tools, a generator and gardening equipment. The suspects were described as two Hispanic male adults driving a newer model grey or silver Infiniti (or similar) bearing black paper plates.
#001 Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
At 11:34 p.m. Officer Harvey located a stolen van on Frederick Ln and summoned for assistance. A high risk stop was initiated and the van pulled over at Lowry/Alvarado Bl. The driver and passenger were both arrested after they successfully changed seats while yielding to Officer Harvey. The driver was identified as a 36 year old adult male of Union City. He was active to probation for auto theft and had outstanding felony arrest warrants for auto theft. He was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of burglary tools and two active warrants. The 37 year old female passenger was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and a probation violation.
