The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
October 17th
1118 Hours: Officer Pacheco contacted and arrested a 28-year-old Fremont male for his outstanding warrants on Balentine Drive. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
1315 Hours: Officer Pacheco investigated an auto burglary on the 6200 block of Jarvis Avenue. The loss is laptop computers.
1317 Hours: Officer Horst investigated an auto burglary on the 6200 block of Jarvis Avenue. The loss is a laptop computer.
1411 Hours: Officer Hunter investigated a hit and run accident in the Ranch 99 parking lot, 35219 Newark Boulevard.
1524 Hours: Officer Pacheco contacted and arrested a 37-year-old Newark male for his outstanding warrant on Dairy Avenue at Olive Street. The suspect was issued a citation and released at the scene.
1533 Hours: Officer Mapes responded to Macy’s, NewPark Mall for a shoplifting suspect in custody. The suspect, a 42-year-old male from San Leandro issued a citation and released at the scene.
