Snow & Ice Removal

To all Citizens of the Borough of Steelton,

As a reminder to all of the residents in the Borough of Steelton, the Steelton Borough Police Department would like to remind everyone of the Borough Ordinance Regarding Snow and Ice Removal.

Section 94-22 of the Steelton Borough Code requires that snow or ice be removed from your sidewalks within 24 hours after the snow or ice has ceased to fall or form.

Section 94-22, also states that snow and or ice shall not be placed onto or in the streets, highways or alleys of the Borough of Steelton. It also states that no person shall shovel snow or ice from around or underneath a parked onto or in the streets, highways or alleys.

Please assist our road crew in not shoveling or snow blowing the snow from your sidewalks or around vehicles onto the streets, highways or alleys.

The Steelton Borough Police will be enforcing this section on any person who does not comply with this section and places snow and ice off of the sidewalks and around or underneath of a vehicle onto the streets, highways, or alleys.
