Burr Ridge Police Arrest Chicago Man for Aggravated Robbery
Burr Ridge Police have charged 39 year-old Andrew Payton of Chicago, IL with aggravated robbery after Officers investigated a report of a robbery at the Bath and Body Works, 550 Village Center Drive.
On October 11, 2017 at 11:31 AM, Burr Ridge Officers responded to the Bath and Body Works Store to investigate report of a man who allegedly made threats to a store employee while stealing items from the store. A store employee reported that the man entered the store and filled two shopping bags with merchandise. Before leaving the store, the man threatened the employee not to “make a scene”, and implied he had a weapon.
Witnesses provided a description of the man, and the vehicle he left in. Based on these descriptions, police identified Andrew Payton as the alleged offender.
Payton was located and taken into custody in the early morning of October 13^th. He was brought to the Burr Ridge Police Department where he is being processed before transfer to the Cook County jail to await a bond hearing.
Payton was charged with Aggravated Robbery, a Class 1 felony.
