Hurricane Relief Effort

Several South Brunswick community groups led by South Brunswick High School Varsity Coach C.J. Hendricks are coordinating a relief drive to help the people devastated by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. The drive is a one day effort that will collect needed supplies and work with NJ National Guard for delivery and disbursement.

Here is s a list of the supplies that we are looking to collect:

Bottle water, non-perishable foods, ready-to-eat meals, cleanup kits, home repair kits, tarps, trash bags, insect repellant, hand sanitizer, work gloves, extension cords, baby wipes, diapers, baby formula, canned milk, first-aid kits, blankets, pillows, towels

OPEN HOUSE – Kendall Park Fire Department
Kendall Park Volunteer Fire Company Open House this
Saturday October 14th from 1pm-4pm (Rain or Shine)

This free event will be held at our firehouse located at 125 New Road in Kendall Park from 1 pm to 4 pm on Saturday October 14, 2017. It will feature Sparky the Fire Dog, Fire Equipment on display and the interactive smoke trailer.

Come meet your local volunteer firefighters and learn the importance of fire safety for your entire family.  There will be free safety giveaways for the kids and a free smoke detector raffles!  Come out and enjoy the day with free hotdogs, popcorn, kids T-Shirts, and sand art.
 

BLOOD DRIVE
South Brunswick Students for Public Health Club is sponsoring a Blood Drive on October 20th at the South Brunswick Library from 1:30pm to 7:30pm.
 

TRAFFIC ADVISORY
October 15th – Sunday
Mapleton Road will be closed at Seminary Drive (Plainsboro) on Sunday October 15, 2017, between the hours of 7 am and 10:30 am for Eden Autism’s annual 5 K.
 
October 20th - Friday
Middlesex County Road Department will be doing road work on Schalks Crossing Road near Ridge Road from October 20th to 24th, then again on October 30th to November 3rd.  Expect delays in the area due to the roadwork.
