Evacuation Clarification for Middletown Area
There are no mandatory evacuations required in the Middletown area of Lake County. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has issued an evacuation advisory notice for residents in the Middletown area. An evacuation advisory is not a mandatory evacuation, but residents are advised to gather their medications, pets and important papers. Residents should be prepared to leave the area with little notice. The Lake County Sheriff's Office is currently monitoring fire activity from the Tubbs and Pocket fires in Napa County and Sonoma County and if the situation worsens the Sheriff’s Office will issue a mandatory evacuation notice.
The only mandatory evacuation orders that are currently in place in Lake County are related to the Sulphur Fire.
