Complaints have been received that drivers are blocking driveways with their vehicles in the area of the Thurmont Primary School. Maryland Criminal Law and Motor Vehicle Handbook, Section 21-1003, states- “A person may not stop, stand, or park a vehicle in front of a public driveway.” Fine is $70.00.
We understand parents are waiting to pick up their children. However, there is ample room to stop your vehicle without blocking a driveway. Please be courteous and adhere to the traffic law. Thank you.
