THE HOPEWELL POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN 14th NATIONAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE BACK INITIATIVE

On October 28, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., as part of The 14th National Prescription Drug Take Back initiative, the Hopewell Police Department, in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by disposing of potentially dangerous, expired unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. As part of the initiative, the Hopewell Police Department is asking citizens to bring their expired and no longer needed medications for disposal to the Hopewell Police Department’s collection site located at 300 N. Main St. Hopewell, VA 23860. No needles or syringes will be accepted at the collection site. The service is being provided free and anonymous with no questions asked.
