In light of several recent motor vehicle burglaries, the Denville Police Department would like to remind everyone to make sure that their vehicles are locked whenever they are left unattended, especially in your driveways overnight. Furthermore, please refrain from keeping any valuable items in your unattended vehicles. If you do, please make sure they are hidden out of sight so as not to tempt any would be thief.

If, at any time, you do discover something missing from your car and suspect that it may have been stolen, please contact the Police Department so that it can be documented. This will also help us identify any areas that may need additional police patrols in order to deter and/or locate criminal activity.
