0924 Hours: Officer Musantry investigated an identity theft case. An unknown suspect opened two credit accounts in the victim’s name. There is no known loss at this time.

1546 Hours: Officer Rivas investigated a head on collision that occurred on Thornton Avenue between Peachtree Avenue and Gateway Avenue. Both drivers were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

1636 Hours: Officer Wang investigated a burglary of a storage unit at Public Storage located at 37444 Cedar Boulevard. The loss is designer shoes and purses.

1906 Hours: Officer Geser investigated two separate auto burglaries, one at Chipolte, 34883 Newark Boulevard and one at Del Taco, 6160 Jarvis Avenue. The combined loss was two laptop computers, an iPad and a cellphone.

2052 Hours: Officers responded to the Rosemont Square Shopping Center on a report of a male suspect displaying / brandishing a gun. Officers contacted and arrested a 30 year old transient male for displaying / brandishing a BB gun. The BB gun was seized and the suspect was issued a citation.

2113 Hours: Officer Jackman responded to a disturbance on the 37300 block of Fowler Street. A 54 year old Newark male was arrested for battery and booked into the Fremont Jail.
