On October 8, 2017, at 6 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of Spring Street in Patoka. Officers from the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office and Princeton Police Department were sent to the scene and upon arriving found 19 year old Lauren Hunt of Princeton sitting in a running White 2001 Pontiac passenger car. While speaking with Ms. Hunt officers on scene detected the odor of alcohol coming from her and began a roadside DUI investigation. At the end of the investigation Deputy Ben Kiesel placed Ms. Hunt into custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Ms. Hunt was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (DUI) and Minor Consumption. She has since posted a $450 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
