Advisory

Repaving of Temple City Boulevard to Begin Oct. 9

On Monday, Oct. 9, the city of Temple City will begin repaving work on Temple City Boulevard.

A 2.1-mile stretch of the city’s key thoroughfare will be repaved in segments starting at Lemon Avenue on the north end and moving south to Lower Azusa Road. The project is expected to take two weeks to complete.

During construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Motorists traveling the area can expect delays and should take alternate routes if possible.

Flaggers will assist drivers in navigating through the construction area, which includes Temple City High School and other nearby facilities.

The repaving work is part of a larger $1.1 million project that will provide upgraded traffic signals and other safety improvements along the corridor.
