On October 3, 2017, we received a report about a man who was attempting to talk to a 14 year old girl while she waited at the bus stop on Grant Avenue before school. The teen reported being approached repeatedly by a man in a blue pickup truck who would stop his vehicle and ask her if she wanted a ride to school and offer to buy her coffee. The teen reported that she saw the same man in the same vehicle over the past four school days. The vehicle was described as a blue Dodge Ram pickup with a black lumber rack.

This morning, several of our officers went to the area of the bus stop in the event that this man returned. Our officers contacted the driver of the blue truck, when he stopped his vehicle to speak to the teen again this morning. The driver, 28 year old, Cirilo Perez-Lopez of Petaluma was positively identified by the teen as the man who has repeatedly approached her. After further investigation, Perez-Lopez was taken into custody for Annoying a Child Under 18 and booked at the Marin County Jail.
