Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4th, Broad Street will be closed so that the roadway can be milled in preparation for repaving on Friday, October 6th. All residents of Broad Street, Front Street, Mendes Street and Foster Road should make every effort to leave the area by the 7:00 a.m. start time on both days, if possible. Any vehicles which will be left behind should be parked off of the roadway surface so as not to interfere with the milling or paving equipment.

While the road work is in progress, ingress and egress from the area will still be possible depending on the actual location of the milling or paving equipment at that time. The parking area of the old Linear Electric building, which accesses Broad Street from Route 46, may be utilized. In addition, a police officer will be present to assist with traffic.

Additional delays should be expected on Friday when the paving project is scheduled to be completed. This is a result of the freshly paved roadway having to cool before any vehicular traffic can be allowed to drive on it.
