Taxi Cab Robber Captured By Jonesboro PD And Sheriff Victor Hill's Elite Fugitive Squad!
On July 24th, 2017, an armed robbery of a taxi driver took place in Jonesboro where the victim was choked while another male pointed a handgun at him demanding money. Over the course of several weeks, between the dates of July 24th and September 13th, 2017, multiple armed robberies targeting taxi drivers were committed in the city of Jonesboro. The level of violence escalated where the suspect pointed a gun at a victim's head and pulled the trigger. Fortunately, the weapon did not fire.
When the Jonesboro Police Department realized that they had a serial taxi cab robber on their hands, Jonesboro Police Chief Franklin Allen ordered all hands on deck until the suspect could be caught. After a tireless around the clock investigation, Jonesboro PD identified a suspect as 19 year old Antjuan Lamar Lewis and obtained warrants for his arrest.
Within 24 hours, Sheriff Victor Hill's elite Fugitive Squad took Lewis into custody, and he now facing the wall at Georgia's toughest para-military jail.
