On September 26, 2017, at 9:33 p.m. Special Deputy Zach Lienemann conducted a traffic stop on a Black 2000 Chevy Pickup truck on Morton Street in Oakland City. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Lienemann identified the driver as 26 year old Luke Shover of Winslow, Indiana. During a roadside investigation Deputy Lienemann ran Mr. Shover though the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that Mr. Shover’s license status was listed as SUSPENDED-PRIOR. At that point Deputy Lienemann placed Mr. Shover into custody and prepared him for transport to the Gibson County Jail. While patting Mr. Shover down an illegal substance was found on his person. At that point Mr. Shover was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Driving While Suspended-Prior, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Methamphetamines. He has since posted a $750 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
