***PRESS RELEASE UPDATE***
On Tuesday, September 26th, at 14:44 hours, the Red Oak Police Department released a press release into the robbery of Prosperity Bank located at 500 N. IH-35E that occurred on Tuesday, September 26th, at around 13:11 hours.

On Wednesday, September 27th at around 09:00 hours, the Dallas FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, in conjunction with the investigation initiated by the Red Oak Police Department and multiple other investigations, arrested Stevie Elbert Jones, 54, who is believed to be the subject that robbed the Prosperity Bank yesterday. Jones was arrested without incident in Fort Worth, Texas on an outstanding parole revocation warrant and is believed to be a suspect in multiple robberies throughout North Texas. Jones was transported to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office for the warrant. Based on the arrest of Jones and the subsequent interview, the Red Oak Police Department has closed its investigation and any charges will be filed at the Federal level by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
