Incidents 316 Reports 43

#018 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
At 10:55 a.m., Officer Gigliotti initiated a traffic stop in the 34100 block of Fremont Blvd for invalid vehicle registration.  Upon contacting the occupants of the vehicle he learned they were both on probation.   During a subsequent search, Officer Gigliotti located drug paraphernalia and arrested a 43 year old adult male,  Newark resident.

#012 Warrant Arrest
At 8:46 a.m., Officer Gallagher and FTO Loughery stopped a bicyclist on Roberts Ave at Washington Blvd for violating the red-signal light.  The 55 year old adult male was on probation and found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was booked at FPD Jail.
 
Patrol Officers took four traffic collision reports during the shift.
 
Swing shift officers took two shoplifting reports at  Kohls and Target stores.

#001 Outside Assist – Animal Services
At 12:13 a.m., Officer Harvey and Officer Austin responded to Motel 6 (north) regarding a security guard who was reportedly bitten by a motel room occupant’s dog.  Officers arrived on-scene and learned the security guard had responded to the room to fix a leak.  The dog (a Boxer) was on a leash when he was in the room.  The occupant/owner said that the security guard was bit on the hand when he got too close to her dog as he was leaving.  The bite caused punctures and a laceration.  He requested an ambulance and was transported to a local hospital for treatment after his injuries were photographed.  The occupant/dog owner was able to maintain control of her dog and kept him confined to her room.  The owner was very cooperative and allowed officers to investigate the incident and photograph the dog.  During the interaction, the dog appeared very protective of its owner.  Officer Harvey authored this report and reported the dog bite was not serious and there was no need to seize the offending animal.  The report was forwarded to Animal Services.

#010 Possession of a Gun and Narcotics for Sales
At 8:58 a.m., Officer Tatola initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near Brown Rd.  When the vehicle stopped, the driver did not have a driver’s license.  When asked if he was on probation or parole, he said he was not.  Upon conducting a records check, officers learned he was on searchable probation and had an active misdemeanor warrant out of San Jose for drug related charges.  Officer Tatola assembled a team of personnel and took the driver back to his motel room for a search.  More than three ounces of methamphetamine and a handgun were located inside the room.  The 32 year old adult male, San Jose resident was arrested and booked into Fremont Jail. 

#021 Theft 
At 6:49 p.m., a patron was enjoying a cup of coffee and charging her iPhone in the area of Mowry/Blacow while sitting inside a coffee shop.   While she was in the store, she had left her phone unattended charging at a power charging strip.  Sometime between 5:55 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.her phone was taken by a suspect who fled the store.  The suspect was described as a black male adult, 6’ tall, stringy hair wearing gray pants and a checkered shirt. Investigated by CSO Spencer and his FTO CSO Allen.

#022 DUI Crash 
At 6:27 p.m., a 35 year old adult female driver crashed into multiple cars and knocked down a light pole in the area of Washington and Meredith.  She fled the scene on foot and was eventually detained a few blocks away (Fairlaine Dr. and Middlefield Ave) by a CHP officer who was first on scene. Witnesses ID’d her as the driver and she was arrested for DUI. A special thanks to CHP for their assistance!

#002 DUI Arrest
At 1:07 a.m., a call came into dispatch for a possible DUI driver.  A community member was on the line giving dispatch real time updates of a vehicle that was swerving all over the road.  The caller reported the vehicle had driven up onto a curb and then ran the red light at Blacow Rd and Sherwood Drive.  Officer Manrique continued his crusade on impaired drivers by catching up to the green Ford truck on Blacow Rd just south of Stevenson Blvd.  Officers initiated a traffic stop and immediately recognized signs of impairment.  After conducting a field sobriety test, officers arrested the 35 year old adult male driver for DUI. 

#003 Possession for Sales of Narcotics
As a result of a traffic stop for an expired registration, Officer Harvey arrested a 38 year old adult male for possession of a controlled substance for sales and recovered over 9 grams of suspected Methamphetamine.  The driver of the car a 46 year old adult male was also arrested/cited for driving on a suspended license.

#026 Robbery
At 9:30 p.m., Officer Chan investigated a robbery where a suspect walked out of the Walmart on Albrae St with a  $900.00 television.  When he was contacted by a store employee he produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim.  The suspect left with the 50” TV.  
The suspect is descried as a 20-30 year old male, black, approximately 6'0” tall, 200 pounds, and LSW a bulky green jacket, and baggy jeans.  The suspect vehicle was described as a silver or gray,  Honda Accord.

#001 Under the Influence Arrest
Officers were dispatched to the Safeway at the Hub for a female who had locked herself in the bathroom and was refusing to exit.  She was also running the water and yelling at anyone who came near the restroom.  She refused to obey commands and it was necessary to force the bathroom door open.  No force was used on the female and she was arrested for being under the influence and resisting arrest.  Sgt. Kindorf managed the incident and Officer Wong is the reporting Officer

Sergeant Tang led a group of Officers on a walking patrol of Marina Times Square and met with several business owners to discuss crime trends.
 
#033 DUI Arrest/Willful Cruelty to a Child
At 10:29 p.m., Officer Dobowy was dispatched to Niles Canyon Rd to investigate a collision approximately 2 miles east of Mission Blvd.  There were no other vehicles involved and no injuries.  After a field sobriety test, officers arrested a 27 year old adult female for DUI as a result of a the minor collision.  He also charged her with two counts of willful cruelty to a child as she had two small children in the car with her.

#001 Violation of a Court Order Arrest
Officer Manrique arrested a 33 year old adult male in the 5000 block of Shana St for violating a court order and a probation violation.
