Saturday evening, OSBI special agents were called to work a homicide in Valliant at the intersection of Wilbur and Mosley Street. There, Christyan Boswell, 18, was shot to death. Valliant officers detained Cody Hilderbrand at the scene. After an interview, agents arrested Hilderbrand (d.o.b. 9/30/1996) for the killing. A second person involved in the killing remains at large. Justin Luther (9/9/1980) has a warrant for his arrest for manslaughter in the first degree. Hilderbrand was booked into the McCurtain County jail on the same charge. After investigating the crime, agents learned Hilderbrand killed Boswell after a drug deal went bad. Luther was with Hilderbrand when the shooting occurred. All three men are from the Valliant area.
