Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training coming this October. Space is limited! Register today!

Have you ever wanted to help your community during an emergency but didn't know how? Have you thought about lending a hand during the Berry Fire evacuations, the Gregory Lane propane explosion, or the West Broadway landslide? If you answered “YES”, we want you for Teton County’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). CERT is a national curriculum that teaches people basic first aid, triage, small fire suppression, light urban search & rescue, disaster psychology, and more. These skills prepare you to be part of Teton County’s CERT program, a volunteer service overseen by Teton County Emergency Management that helps during emergencies in Jackson Hole.

We have limited space in our Fall 2017 CERT Basic Training Course. Course dates are Oct 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, & 26 from 5:45p to 9:00p and Oct 28 9:00a to 3:00p. You may only miss one weeknight class and must attend the final Saturday practical to complete the course. If you can make this commitment, and want to help your community, contact Teton County Emergency Management at [email protected] to register today!
