Tomorrow morning, Saturday September 23, 2017, deer and bear hunting season opens for our area. This is just a public service announcement for awareness of an increase of people in the woods wearing camouflage and carrying weapons. Many public lands throughout Calaveras County are utilized by a variety of users including hunters, nature enthusiasts, pedestrians, bicyclists, equestrians, off highway vehicles, and motorists. Please be respectful of others. Reckless or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated. Be prepared. Be safe.
