Police Seek The Public's Help Identifying Shooting Suspects Wanted for Questioning

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose requests the public’s assistance in identifying the below pictured suspects wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.

Shortly after midnight, a man was shot in the 100-block of Garside Avenue after a passenger shot the victim from an older black, 4-door Honda. The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment where he remains in critical condition.

The below pictured individuals had quarreled with the occupants of the suspect vehicle prior to the shooting. One of the pictured males was wearing a red shirt and black pants. The second suspect was wearing a red baseball cap and black shirt. Another has two-tone hair (black and blonde).

While police are actively searching for these suspects, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from our streets. This investigation is continuing.

Director Ambrose is urging anyone with information about these suspects to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
