Advisory

Cedar Lake West, McDermott Pass and West Glen Road to be paved on Friday, 9/22; Broad Street milling postponed.

The Township of Denville will be paving Cedar Lake West (between Cedar Lake Road and Bald Nob Road) beginning tomorrow morning at 8:30 am. The delayed start time is to avoid any unnecessary delays for school buses and allow residents extra time to leave the area. The fire access road to Hillcrest Drive will be open for anyone attempting to access or leave the Cedar Lake West area. However, there will be a period of time when there will be no access into or out of the area, specifically while the roadway is being paved between Seymour Road and Hardman Terrace and until such time that this portion of the newly paved roadway is deemed safe to drive on. To avoid any delays, we once again strongly encourage all residents who may have to leave the area in the morning to attempt to do so before the 8:30 am start time, if possible. In addition, please make sure that no vehicles are left parked on or near the roadway surface that may interfere with the paving equipment. There will be police officers on scene to assist with traffic while the work is in progress.

After finishing Cedar Lake West, the paving crew will move to and pave McDermott Pass. All residents of McDermott Pass should make every effort to leave the area or park their vehicles outside of the work area prior to 8:30 am, as we cannot specify exactly what time this road work will begin. Please make sure that no vehicles left behind are parked on or near the roadway surface that may interfere with the paving equipment.

When the paving on McDermott Pass is completed, the paving crew will then begin to pave West Glen Road (between the Township Pump House and the Boonton Township line). As with McDermott Pass, all residents should make every effort to leave the area or park their vehicles outside of the work area sometime prior to the 8:30 am start time, as we cannot specify exactly what time this road work will begin, and to please make sure any vehicles left behind are parked off of and away from the roadway surface that is to be repaved. It should be noted the paving of West Glen Road is not expected to be completed tomorrow and the remainder of the roadway is scheduled to be paved on Monday, September 25th. Additional details will follow as they become available.

At this time, the milling of Broad Street has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a date as yet to be determined.
