Armed Robbery on the 33000 block of Washington Ave. Police urge community to be aware of their surroundings when coming home.

On Sunday September 17th around 10:00PM, a family returning home from a night out were robbed while inside of their garage.  The family, who were all adults, had just pulled into their garage when two suspects suddenly approached.  It is believed that the two suspects followed the victim’s vehicle into the garage through the open garage door as the victims drove in.

The suspects were armed with handguns and demanded money and other valuables from the three victims.  The suspects made off with the stolen property and fled on foot down Washington Avenue towards Oregon St.  It is unknown if a vehicle was used in the getaway.  There were no reports of injuries. 

The victims described one suspect as follows:
Suspect #1:  Black Male Adult - Approximately 6 feet tall, weighing about 185 pounds.  He had a mustache and goatee.

There is no description of the second suspect at this time.
