#008 Visible Injury Collision
At 8:00 a.m., Officer Ramsey investigated a traffic collision with minor visible injuries between a vehicle (driver is a 45 year old adult male) and bicyclist (43 year old adult male). The bicyclst was riding on the wrong side of the road and came off a sidewalk as the driver was making a right turn.  The collision occurred at Gatewood and Blacow.  Investigation ongoing.

#018 Auto Burglary
Officer Franchi investigated an auto burglary that occurred in a parking lot at Central Park, closest to Aqua Adventure that occurred between 10:30 – 10:35 a.m.  Both rear passenger windows were shattered out and two back packs were stolen from the rear seats.  No suspect information.  

#029 Trespassing, Criminal Threats, Battery on a Police Officer, etc.
Officers Tucker and Richards responded to one of our local hospitals regarding a male who had been discharged but was now refusing to leave the hospital.  He was pounding on the entry doors to the ER and causing a disturbance.   During the interaction, the male elbowed on of our officers in the face.  The officer was not injured.  Once out on the sidewalk, he was issued a trespass citation, however he refused to sign it and attempted to get back on the property.  He threated that if he didn’t get what he wanted that he would cause physical damage the hospital.  The pounding on the doors caused approximately $500 damage.    In addition, the 61 year old adult male is on probation and has a stay away order of 100 yards from this hospital when he does not have an emergency.  Based on everything that transpired, he was arrested for vandalism, criminal threats, trespassing, battery on a police officer and violating the stay away order.  He was transported to Santa Rita Jail.

#047 Failure to Yield
Sgt. Zambonin attempted to stop a motorcyclist for an equipment violation, but the motorcyclist fled.  No pursuit was initiated.  The motorcyclist was part of a group of 4 motorcyclist traveling southbound I-880.  All the motorcycles were on sport bikes.

#048 Ascertain the Problem - Shooting
At 5:09 p.m., one of our local hospitals called to report they had a 20 year old male in their ER with a gunshot wound to his foot.  The male refused to give any details about the incident.  He eventually admitted he accidentally shot himself with a friend’s gun near his residence, but he refused to say more.  Officers responded to the residence and conducted a probation search based on the house probation status.  Officers located a vehicle associated to the male parked in the lot.  Officers looked inside the vehicle a located the subject’s shoe with a small hole in it, as well as bloody clothing.  As officers searched the vehicle, they located a handgun, ammunition and baggies containing aa white powdery substance, believed to be cocaine or methamphetamine.   At the completion of the investigation the 20 year old adult male, Fremont resident was arrested for several felony charges including possession of a handgun not registered to him and possession of a controlled substance with a loaded firearm.

#053 Major Injury Collision
At about 8:07 p.m. the Fremont Police Department received a report of a collision in the 40100 block of Paseo Padre Parkway. Responding officers found a Mercedes Benz with major damage. A 33 year old man was trapped in the vehicle, he was the only occupant. Fremont Fire personnel extricated the driver, who was transported to a trauma hospital to be treated for life threatening injuries. Members of the Fremont Police Traffic Unit are investigating the collision. The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver was southbound on Paseo Padre and drove into the center median, colliding with several trees. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were factors.  The male was upgraded this morning at the hospital and is now in stable condition. 

#055 DUI Collision
Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call of a vehicle that collided into a fence and possibly a house.  As officers were responding, the reporting party advised the driver was trying to leave and multiple people were trying to keep him at the scene.  Officers arrived and determined the driver, 63 year old male, was under the influence of alcohol.  The vehicle collided into two fences and into a parked car.  The male was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.  Once he was cleared from the hospital, he was taken to jail.  Case investigated by Officer Khoeler.
