8700 block Santa Monica Blvd
09/12/2017 @ 3:30 pm. An unknown suspect removed a backpack containing a laptop computer, hard drive, passport, and glasses from the back seat. The car was being washed when the theft occurred. Loss $2500.  #04974
 
Armed Robbery
8700 block Rangely Avenue
09/12/2017 @ 12:45 pm.  Two men were invited into the residence by the victim.  A dispute over money ensued and one of the suspects produced a handgun.  The victim ran from the residence and when he returned, he discovered cash and property belonging to him was missing.  Loss $7300.  #04931

9200 block Sunset Blvd
09/13/2017 @ 9:15 am - 12:00 pm.  An unknown suspect removed a pearl necklace from the center console of the unlocked vehicle.  The vehicle was with a valet service when the theft occurred.  Loss $5K. #04969
 
Other Burglary (Suspect Arrested)
600 block N Doheny Drive
09/13/2017 @ 1:54 am - 2:04 am.  A man smashed a rear window to gain access and set off a burglary alarm.  An employee responding to the alarm found the suspect inside the business.  The suspect ran from the business and was arrested later that evening while committing a residential burglary on Rangely Avenue.  Loss $140. #04944

600 block N Doheny Drive (Attempt)
09/13/2017 @ 2:00 am.  A man kicked the front metal door several times in an attempt to gain entry but was unsuccessful.  Loss $100 (damaged door).  #04958
 
Residential Burglary (Suspect Arrested)
9000 block Rangely Avenue
09/13/2017 @ 2:00 am.  A man unlocked the front yard gate to gain access to the porch area and attempted to force the front door open.  A dog inside the residence started barking, which prompted the homeowner to call the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station.  Deputies responded and arrested the suspect after a short foot pursuit.  #04945

09/13/2017 @ 9:00 pm - 7:00 am.  An unknown suspect cut a window screen and used an unlocked rear door to gain access.  The victim was unsure if any items were taken.  Loss $50 (screen door).  #04951

09/13/2017 @ 9:00 pm - 7:00 am.  An unknown suspect entered a storage locker in the car port but did not take anything.  No sign of forced entry.  #04952

09/13/2017 @ 7:30 pm.  After a verbal argument over parking, a woman attempted to take the victims cell phone from her hand but was unsuccessful.  No loss.  #04957

09/15/2017 @ 7:00 am - 9:00 pm.  An unknown suspect used the front door to gain access and removed jewelry from the bedroom.  No sign of forced entry.  Loss $1200.  #05004
 
Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect Arrested)
8200 block Santa Monica Blvd
09/15/2017 @ 9:09 am.  A man was walking WB on Santa Monica Blvd when he was approached from behind by two men.  A struggle for the victim’s shoulder bag ensued and the victim was knocked to the ground.  The victim released the bag and both suspects fled the area EB on Santa Monica.  Loss $1500.  Both suspects were arrested later in the day.  #04994

1100 block N Vista Avenue
09/16/2017 @ 11:30 am.  A man and a woman were walking SB on Vista Avenue when they were approached by two men armed handguns.  The suspects demanded property from the victims and they complied.  The suspects fled the area SB on Vista Avenue.  The victims waited 30 minutes to report the incident.  Loss $1700 (2 cell phones, 1 woman’s wallet).  #05029

Strong Arm Robbery
1000 block Hancock Avenue
09/17/2017 @ 1:30 am.  Two men were walking SB on Hancock Avenue when a motorcycle carrying two people pulled up next to them on the street.  The passenger of the motorcycle pulled a shoulder bag away from the victim and then rode away on the motorcycle.  Loss $3K (cell phone, 2 wallets, 2 computers, ring, headphones).  #05039
