Advisory

Road Closures for Milling - West Glen Road, Landing Trail and McDermott Pass on 09/20; Cedar Lake W and Broad St on 09/21

The Township of Denville will be milling several roads on Wednesday, September 20th and Thursday, September 21st in preparation to have the roadways repaved.

The roadways scheduled to be milled on Wednesday, September 20th are West Glen Road (from the area of the Township Pump Station to the Denville/Boonton town line), Landing Trail (between Warren Trail and Linda Place) and McDermott Pass. We strongly encourage all residents in these areas to leave the area with their vehicles or to park their vehicles outside of the work area before 7am, if at all possible. The nature of the roadwork will prohibit the normal flow of traffic and access into and out of the area may be delayed if attempted while the roadwork is in progress.

The roadways scheduled to be milled on Thursday, September 21st are Cedar Lake West (between Cedar Lake Road and Bald Nob Road) and Broad Street. Once again, we strongly encourage all residents in these areas to leave the area with their vehicles or to park their vehicles outside of the work area, if possible, before 7am. The nature of the roadwork will prohibit the normal flow of traffic and access into and out of the area may be delayed if attempted while the roadwork is in progress.

As for Cedar Lake West, the fire access road to Hillcrest Drive will be open. However, there will be a period of time when there will be no access into or out of the area, specifically while the roadway is being milled between Seymour Road and Hardman Terrace. To avoid any delays, we once again strongly encourage all residents to attempt to leave the area prior to 7am, if possible. In addition, two police officers will be on scene to assist with traffic.

As for Broad Street, access into and out of the area can still be made through the parking area of the old Linear Electric building, if needed. However, we once again strongly encourage all residents to attempt to leave the area or have their vehicles parked outside of the work area prior to 7am, if possible. As with Cedar Lake West, two police officers will be present to assist with traffic.

The paving of each of the above roadways is tentatively scheduled for next week. As soon as more information is available, that information will be forwarded to you in additional messages.

As all of our residents currently do not subscribe to receive Nixle text and e-mail alerts, we would appreciate that you forward this message to any family, friends or neighbors who may live in the affected areas.

We apologize for any inconvenience this road work may cause and thank you for your cooperation.
