Lockport Police arrest three for armed robbery

On Monday, September 18, 2017, at 4:51 PM, the Lockport Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery that took place in the area of Parkview Ln. and Lawrence Av.  The victim, a 17 year old male from Lockport, reported that he was walking home when three males, one of whom was known to the victim, offered him a ride.  After getting into the vehicle, the victim was threatened with a knife and a handgun.  The offenders demanded his cell phone and cash.  After giving the offenders his money, the victim was allowed to exit the vehicle, and he called the police.
Responding officers were able to locate a vehicle that matched the description provided by the victim in the area of Bruce Rd. and Briggs St. The vehicle was occupied by three males.  Officers stopped the vehicle and took all three males into custody.  During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located two knives and a replica handgun.
Vincent A. Kirsch, age 19, of 3806 Brenton Dr., Joliet; Julian E. Brandon, age 19, of 2320 University St., Crest Hill; and a 17 year old male from Lockport were all charged with Armed Robbery and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.  Kirsch and Brandon were transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.  The 17 year old male was transferred to the River Valley Juvenile Detention Center.
