Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a woman that occurred on Monday, September 4, 2017, at approximately 10:23 p.m., on the 17600 block of Castleton Street, City of Industry.
Industry deputies responded to the location regarding a “gunshot victim” call. Upon their arrival, they discovered the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the torso. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
During the investigation, deputies learned that the victim had just finished her work shift at the location and was walking to a vehicle when an unknown suspect shot her. The suspect fled westbound through the parking lot in an unknown direction.
The victim is described as a female White adult.
There is no suspect information at this time.
The investigation is on-going.
