September 4th

Warrant Arrest - MacDonald Ave / Conlon Ave:
At 1429 hours, an officer contacted a 60-year-old Richmond man. He was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant. He was booked and released on a citation.

Trespassing, Drug Paraphernalia / Drug Possession (Freeway Motel) - 11645 San Pablo Ave:
At 1544 hours, Officers responded to the report of a subject who climbed though the open front window of a motel room. The subject then relieved himself and left the room. Officers located him on foot on Cutting Blvd. The 57-year-old San Pablo man was found to be in possession of a pipe used to smoke controlled substances and a small quantity of methamphetamine. He was booked and cite
released.

Shoplifting, Drug Paraphernalia – (Safeway) 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 2333 hours, Safeway called and reported a theft and a description of the suspect. An officer located the 24-year-old male suspect from Berkeley at Del Norte BART and detained him. He was positively identified during an in-field show up and arrested. He was booked at the ECPD and then released on a citation.

Auto Burglary – (Los Moles) 6120 Potrero Ave:
Between 2030 and 2200 hours, an unknown suspect broke the passenger window of the victim’s BMW and stole cash.

September 5th

Warrant Arrest - San Pablo Ave / Nevin Ave:
At 1608 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, a 23-year-old Oakland woman. She was driving on a suspended license and had a misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. She was arrested, booked and cited.

Shoplift – (Big 5) 11060 San Pablo Ave:
At approximately 2050 hours, three suspects stole over $700 worth of paintball guns and paintballs from Big 5. The fled in a 2000s model silver Acura SUV. Suspect-1 was described as a black male, 20, and wearing a grey tank top and blue jeans. Suspect-2 was described as a black male, 20, and wearing a red and black Nike sweatshirt and camouflage pants. Suspect-3 was described as a black male, 20, and wearing a red hoodie and black jeans.

September 6th

Warrant Arrest - (Del Norte BART) 6400 Cutting Blvd:
At 0654 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted a 26-year-old Vallejo woman. She was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant. She was also cited for driving on a suspended license. She was arrested, booked and cited.

Possession of Methamphetamine - Oak St / Willow Ave:
At 0837 hours, an officer contacted a 43-year-old Richmond man during a suspicious vehicle check. The subject was on Post Community Release Supervision and Contra Costa County probation. He was found in possession of methamphetamine (7.6 grams TGW.) He was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.

Stolen Vehicle - 300 block of Victoria Ct:
At 1554 hours, an officer responded to the report of a stolen vehicle. A silver 2004 Scion XB was stolen in between 0900 and 1300 hours. An officer found the vehicle nearby, so it seems as if the owner forgot where they parked it.

Residential Burglary – 5700 block Jordan Ave:
Between 1015 and 1400 hours, an unknown suspect entered the residence via an unlocked front door and stole jewelry.

Possess Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia – San Pablo Ave / Conlon Ave:
At 2155 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 60-year-old man from Richmond for possession of methamphetamine and a glass pipe. He was booked at the ECPD and then released on a citation.

Possess Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia – BART Path / Blake St:
At 0238 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 29-year-old man from Richmond for possession of methamphetamine and a glass pipe. He was released on a citation.

September 7th

Misappropriation of Lost Property - 10175 San Pablo Ave:
At 1126 hours, an officer responded to the report of a subject breaking the security tags off bottles of alcoholic beverages. A San Francisco 20-year-old male was found to have 152 bottles of liquor, primarily Jack Daniels worth over $4400.00. The bottles still had the security tags on them from the Union City and Fremont Safeway stores. The male claimed he had found them. The officer is following up with Safeway security to determine if they were stolen.

Warrant Arrest - I-80 / Cutting Blvd:
At 1332 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted a 23-year-old San Francisco man who was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant. He was arrested, booked and cite released.

Commercial Burglary - 10500 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 1335 hours, an officer responded to the report of a commercial burglary. In between 1115 and 1330 hours, an unidentified suspect entered an office building and stole electronics and cash.

Grand Theft – 3200 block Santa Clara Ave:
The victim was contacted by phone and told she could receive $20000 if she invested $1500. The victim agreed and purchased approximately $2000 in gift cards and then provided the suspect the card numbers and PIN over the phone. The suspect appeared to be located in Kentucky.

Shoplift, Resist Officer, Probation Violation – (Lucky) 1000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 2202 hours, Officers responded to theft which just occurred. Upon arrival in the Plaza an officer located the saw the 32-year-old female suspect detained her. She was positively identified as the suspect during an in-field show up and arrested. She went completely limp and refused to walk to the patrol car and had to be carried. She was transported directly to MDF.

Warrant – (Denny’s) 11344 San Pablo Ave:
At 0030 hours, an Officer contacted a 29-year-old man from Richmond and arrested him on a Marin County warrant. He was booked at the ECPD and released on a citation.

Resisting Officer – El Cerrito Plaza:
At 0410 hours, an officer was flagged down near Trader Joe’s in the El Cerrito Plaza regarding a suspicious person looking in cars and throwing stuff around. The officer located the 29-year-old subject from Richmond and attempted to detain him. The man walked away from the officer and then raised his fist as though he was going to strike the officer when the officer grabbed the suspect’s jacket. The man was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and released on a citation.  

Officers conducted an undercover theft operation at Safeway from 1600 hours until 2200 hours.

Shoplifter - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1649 hours, an officer was flagged down by employees regarding a shoplifter who fled out the back door. The officer contacted a 27-year-old Richmond male at Blake Street who immediately fled south on the BART trail. He fled down the path at Madison Ave where he was taken into custody by a responding officer. He was booked and transported to the MDF.

Shoplifter - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1709 hours, officers watched a 52-year-old Richmond man and a 20-year-old Richmond man stealing beer and wine. They were arrested and booked and released.

Shoplifter - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1738 hours, officers watched a 23-year-old San Francisco stealing food items. He was arrested, booked and released on a citation.

Shoplifter - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1825 hours, officers watched a 34-year-old San Pablo man stealing food items. He was arrested, booked and released on a citation.

Shoplifter - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1914 hours, undercover officers spotted a 24-year-old San Francisco woman loading up meat products into her Louis Vitton purse. She was detained outside the store, arrested, booked and released on a citation.

Shoplifter - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1921 hours, undercover officers spotted a 36-year-old San Francisco man was stealing food items. He was arrested, booked and released on a citation.

Shoplifter - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1943 hours, officers spotted a 20-year-old Alameda man stealing food items. He was arrested, booked and released on a citation.

September 8th

Shoplifting Arrest – (Safeway) 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At approximately, 0654 hours officers were dispatched to a shoplifting in progress. A 22-year-old male from San Pablo concealed laundry detergent in his backpack, but only paid for a case of water at the check stand. As the male exited the store, he was immediately detained by police officers. The male was placed under citizen’s arrest, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.

Warrant Arrest, Possession of Methamphetamines and Drug Paraphernalia – Marshall’s parking lot 10794 San Pablo Ave:
At approximately 0943 hours, an El Cerrito police sergeant observed a 22-year-old female from transient (San Francisco) performing oral sex on a 57-year-old male from Richmond an abandoned vehicle. The male and female exited the vehicle and the sergeant attempted to detain them. The female ran from the officer southbound through the parking lot, but was detained by another police officer in the adjacent parking lot. During a search of the male, officers found meth and a meth pipe on his person. The male was released on a citation out in the field. The female had a probation violation warrant out of Alameda County and a vandalism warrant out of Redwood City PD. The female was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to County Jail in Martinez.

Residential Burglary – 1900 block of Downey Place:
At approximately 1202 hours, officers were dispatched to an interrupted residential burglary. The victim arrived home and saw an unknown suspect run from his side yard, into an awaiting newer black SUV Mercedes. The SUV was last seen traveling towards Cutting Blvd. The victim’s residence was completely ransacked, and the suspect entered the residence by damaging a bathroom window. Several neighbors stated they saw a black SUV circling the block an hour before the burglary occurred. The suspects took approximately cash and miscellaneous items.

The suspect was described as a white male adult, 20’s, wearing a black hooded windbreaker sweatshirt with the hoodie over his head. No one could provide any information of the driver of the SUV.

Arrest for Forgery, Possession of a Fictitious Check, Possession of a Fraudulent Driver License, Possession of Stolen Property, Probation Violation and Warrants – (Bank of the West) 11100 San Pablo Ave:
At approximately 1216 hours, a 61-year-old female from Richmond attempted to cash a fictitious check using a fraudulent Driver License. An El Cerrito PD Lieutenant saw the female leave the bank and enter the passenger side of a black Nissan Murano, which was parked on Kearney St. When the Lieutenant attempted to stop the Nissan, the vehicle failed to stop and led officers on a vehicle pursuit. The vehicle stopped on Creely Ave at Campbell Ave. The driver, a 65-year-old male from Richmond, was taken into custody, as was the female. The female was positively identified as the suspect in the bank, during an infield show up with a witness. The female also had a warrant out of Napa for grand theft.

During booking at the El Cerrito Police Department, an El Cerrito Records Specialists recognized the female was a wanted suspect in several bank forgery cases across the Eastbay. Those agencies were contacted by El Cerrito PD Detectives. Both suspects were transported to County Jail in Martinez.

Shoplifting – (Lucky) 1000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 1559 hours, an unknown suspect stole cases of soap and fled in a blue Toyota Corolla, northbound through the parking lot towards Fairmount Ave. The suspect was described as a black male adult, wearing a grey hat, grey sweatshirt, and blue jeans.

Shoplifting – (O’Reilly’s Auto Parts) 9989 San Pablo Ave:
At 1140 hours, an unknown suspect stole a large tool kit, while a second suspect was distracting the employees. They fled in a grey 4-door sedan, westbound on San Diego St. the first suspect was described as a black male adult, in his mid 20’s, black hair, 5’8”, 160lbs., wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect was described as a black male adult, mid 20’s, black hair, 5’4”, 250lbs., wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Warrant Arrest - 11555 San Pablo Ave (Dollar Tree):
At 2038 hours an officer conducted a suspicious vehicle check and contacted a 47-year-old Berkeley man and he was determined to have a misdemeanor warrant. The man was cited and released.

September 9th

Stolen Vehicle Arrest – (El Cerrito Community/Swim Center) 7007 Moeser Ln:
At 1333 hours, pool management called regarding a black male who entered the women’s locker room and refused to leave. When El Cerrito police officers, the male had already fled on foot northbound through the parking lot. Officers located a 33-year-old male from Oakland walking on Portola Dr. near a Ford F250. The male stated that he lost the keys to his truck, while referring to the F250. The F250 was found to be reported stolen out of Oakland yesterday. The male was taken into custody. No crime occurred inside the swim center.

Stolen Vehicle Report – 10264 San Pablo Ave:
The victim’s hauling trailer was stolen sometime between 0900-1000 hours today. Employees saw a silver pickup truck haul the trailer from the parking lot.

September 10th

D.U.I Collision / Arrest – San Pablo Ave / Eastshore Blvd:
At approximately 1402 hours, El Cerrito Police Officers were dispatched to a collision between two vehicles. A 42-year-old male was determined to be under the influence of alcohol while driving his motor vehicle. The male rear ended a vehicle that was stopped at a red light. The female driver of the other vehicle complained of pain to her left leg, but refused medical treatment at the scene. The male was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the County Jail in Martinez.

Possession of narcotics for sale/possession of a firearm/warrant arrest - San Pablo Ave / Cutting Blvd:
At 1915 hours an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver a 28-year-old Richmond woman was contacted and determined to have two outstanding misdemeanor warrants from Solano County and Napa County. A passenger a 50-year-old Richmond woman was contacted and determined to have two felony warrants. During a search of the vehicle, methamphetamine for sale and a loaded handgun were located. Both subjects transported to MDF.

Robbery/Assault with a deadly weapon - 11344 San Pablo Ave. (Denny’s):
At 2327 hours officers were sent to the parking lot of the business for a report of a purse snatch that had just occurred. It was determined the victim was pushed down and her purse forcefully removed from her arm. Another victim who was present was struck by a second suspect in the arm and in the back with a metal object. The suspects fled on foot south out of the parking lot. The suspects were described as wearing all dark clothing with hoods.

September 11th

Warrant Arrest – 11780 San Pablo Ave:
At approximately 1107 hours, El Cerrito police officers responded to assist Child and Family Services with retrieving the 3-year-old daughter from a 34-year-old female, who lives in the complex, and taking the daughter into their custody. After her daughter was taken away, the female was arrested on a warrant out of Contra Costa County. The female was transported and booked at the County Jail in Martinez.

Warrant Arrest - 10650 San Pablo Ave (CVS):
At 1952 hours an officer conducted a suspicious vehicle check and contacted a 56-year-old Berkeley woman and determined she had a misdemeanor warrant. The woman was booked and cited from ECPD.

Warrant Arrest - 11565 San Pablo Ave (Walgreens):
At 2001 hours officers were sent to the business on a report of a theft that had just occurred. An officer located the suspects at Del Norte BART. It was determined a 19-year-old Vallejo man had a misdemeanor warrant and a juvenile subject had a felony warrant. Both subjects were transported to ECPD for processing. The man was booked into county jail and the juvenile into Juvenile Hall.

Auto Burglary - 11450 San Pablo Ave (Safeway):
At 2356 hours an auto burglary was reported. It was determined the suspect smashed the driver window of the victim vehicle and ransacked the interior. The suspect vehicle is a newer model black SUV.

Drug Influence / Parole Violation- 6060 Central Ave (Nations):
At 0105 hours an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and contacted a 36-year-old Oakland man. The man was determined to be under the influence of narcotics and was on parole. The man was taken into custody and transported to ECPD for processing. A parole hold was obtained and the man was transported to County Jail.
