The St. Johnsbury Police Department is advising that on September 16, 2017, the NEK Chamber of Commerce is holding the annual Colors of the Kingdom Autumn Festival. This message is to provide information regarding traffic implications.

Parade: The parade is scheduled to be underway at 10:00am. The planned route is as follows:
-Begins at the intersection of Winter St & Main St
-South on Main St to Eastern Ave
-East on Eastern Ave to Railroad St
-North on Railroad St to Portland St
-Parade terminates at the intersection with Portland St
*Motorists should seek alternative routes or expect delays*

Festival: While the festival has events throughout town, the police department wants to make motorists aware of a road closure. Railroad St between the north end of TD Bank (located at 301 Railroad St) and Eastern Ave will be closed to traffic. The festival is scheduled to run from 10:00am to 3:30pm. Motorists should seek alternative routes. Additionally, motorists are encouraged to use caution while driving due to increased pedestrian traffic.

Parking: On street parking and the Railroad St Municipal Lot (the large parking lot between Railroad St & Pearl St) will be available for parking. Those participating in the train rides are encouraged to park in the Municipal Lot. * The only parking available at the Railroad Station will be handicap parking. *
