The Camarillo Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a sexual battery suspect. On 9/10/2017, a male juvenile was walking in the 700 block of Mobil Avenue in Camarillo, when a grey haired Hispanic male possibly driving a white pickup truck contacted him. The juvenile willingly got into the suspect’s vehicle and they drove away from the location. While driving, the suspect touched the juvenile inappropriately. The juvenile asked the suspect to stop his vehicle. The suspect complied and the juvenile exited the vehicle. The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling near Mobil Avenue and Ponderosa Avenue. The victim described the suspect vehicle as having a “Simi Valley” license plate frame and the vehicle license number started with an “8”. The victim believes the suspect vehicle was a white Dodge Dakota. If you have any information related to this crime please contact the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office at 805-654-9511. The Camarillo Police Department would like to remind parents to discuss with their children what to do if they are approached by a stranger. Please talk to your children and remind them to walk in groups and never enter a stranger’s vehicle. |
