Assistance requested in hit and run accident

The Janesville Police Department is looking for the public's help in identifying a hit and run suspect. On 09-10-2017 at approximately 7:00 PM officers were dispatched to a hit and run to a pedestrian on a bicycle. The victim was riding south bound on S Grant Ave crossing Kellogg Ave in the cross walk when they were hit by a black Ford Explorer. After hitting the victim the vehicle sped off south bound on S Grant Ave. Witnesses described the suspect driver as a white male, approximately 50 years of age, with white hair, and possibly heavier set. The suspect vehicle is a black Ford Explorer between the years of 2001-2004, and should have damage to a front headlight.

This victim sustained minor non-life threatening injuries.
